Nadine is always very carefully searching for the right words, that exactly express the feelings. This has now resulted in this beautiful small book.
The book is build up in a very readable and understandable way, she walks beside you to explore carefully the world of trauma.
Nadine brings an extra depth in the examples she gives and does not shy away to show the painful realization that sets in when you explore your own trauma and you are a parent. In being so honest in her examples she invites you to careful explore your own journey in this. Where you learn about your nervous system and how your early childhood experiences have impacted this.
It invites you to find a practitioner that is as kind, careful and passionate as Nadine to accompany you on your journey.

I’ve been reading this book.
Two ideas, in particular, really landed. The first is seeing an inner system in us as an own personal soccer team. That image has been incredibly helpful in understanding different parts in us with more curiosity and compassion.
The second is the importance of creating an own safe inner space—a place where I feel protected, loved, accepted, and valued. I want to consciously cultivate this.
Thank you for giving me such meaningful tools. They already feel like they’re making a difference.
